Head Coach

The Head Coach’s main responsibility is to prepare and deliver the Girls on the Run curriculum for the 10-week season. Throughout the lessons the coach will serve as a role model by having a healthy lifestyle and positive attitude. Most importantly, the Head Coach will have fun with the girls and encourage positive behaviors.

Assistant Coach

The Assistant Coach’s main responsibility is to serve as an encourager, cheerleader and *superstar* supporter during workouts and 5K runs and to assist the Head Coach with lesson activities and workouts.

Sole Sister

Sole Sisters are high-school students that have participated in Girls on the Run and/or Girls on Track in the past. Sole Sisters offer encouragement and support to the girls throughout the season and at the 5K and assist the coaching team with lesson activities and workouts.

Running Buddies

A running buddy escorts one Girl on the Run or Girl on Track on the adventure of their 5K run at the end of the season. They provide encouragement and lots of high-five’s throughout the race and especially at the finish line. Running Buddies can be any family member, friend, teacher or other community supporter.
