How have you been involved with Girls on the Run?

My friend told me about this great program that her daughter participated in, so when I found out that my daughter's school participated, i signed her up when she was in 3rd grade. She has participated in 2 seasons so far, and I have been her running buddy for both runs.

What drew you to the program to get involved now?

I love the mission to boost confidence and encourage positivity. I also love the innovation of combining these essential skills with training for a 5k run.

Why do you think it's so important for girls today to have access to this program?

Girls are constantly exposed to negative influences that have long term impact on their self confidence and how they interact with others. I believe that the lessons and skills learnt in GOTR help to minimise this impact.

How did the program impact your daughter?

She has made friends, and has found a love for running. I have been very impressed at her self motivation to commit 100% to training.

What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I practice Kung Fu and play piano. I also like to sketch cartoons of my kids.
