Intern Spotlight: GOTR alum Zoe Rappoport

GOTR Alumna

1) When and how have you been involved with Girls on the Run?

I participated in Girls on the Run when I was in 5th grade, almost 10 years ago!

2) Why do you think it's so important for girls today to have access to this program?

In today's world of limiting stereotypes and gender roles for women, it's more important than ever to instill confidence in girls at a young age. Every girl deserves to feel like they can do anything they set their mind to.

3) What impact did the program have on you?

Through Girls on the Run, I learned fun ways to exercise in a positive, encouraging environment. Completing the 5k made me feel confident and strong. It was something that before Girls on the Run, I never thought I could do.

4) What are some of your hobbies or interests?

I love to cook! I've been a vegetarian for almost 5 years, so I love to come up with new meat-free recipes and experiment in the kitchen.
