New Board Member Spotlight: Stacey Onoh

Meet Stacey Onoh Girls on the Run Greater Chesapeake's New Board Member.

We are thrilled to introduce Stacey Onoh, new GOTRGC Board Member! We asked Stacey a series of questions about her involvement and thoughts about Girls on The Run. Here's what she had to say:

1. How have you been involved with Girls on the Run?

In March 2024, I attended the Limitless Potential Breakfast organized by Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake. I look forward to supporting more events.

2. What drew you to get involved with Girls on the Run now?

I learned about Girls on the Run through Business Volunteers Maryland (BVM) as I sought to match with a non-profit that aligned with my interest in supporting children, minorities, girls, families, and their empowerment & education. I was excited to learn about the mission and vision of Girls on the Run which align with causes that I am passionate about. It is an honor to serve on the board of Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake.

3. Why do you think it's so important for girls today to have access to this program?

Girls need all the support they can get to build their confidence. Girls on the Run empowers young girls with the tools they need to navigate adolescence, and the support GOTR provides to girls is invaluable in securing their future. My hope is that my daughters can participate in the program in the future.

4. What are some of your hobbies or interests?

I enjoy long walks and spending quality time with my husband and our three children.
